Hi Ladies!
Bringing you 3 things on this second Wednesday of the month, including a chance to be inspired by some amazing women and also to nominate some of the ones you know to get the recognition they deserve.
Also keep posting in the WISSC LinkedIn group and inviting others so we can keep building the WISSC community together, as we need each other in community during these crazy times now more than ever.
For those in DC, stay tuned for spring happy hour details, save the date of Wednesday May 14th, and for everyone, everywhere, please keep using the power of sports to make a difference. It matters.
Thanks,
This month's 3 things:

|
1. One of the best things I watched:
The legendary Billie Jean King giving the keynote at last week's She Believes Summit. ICYMI she dropped all kinds of incredible stories, and the session ended with a reminder that BJK always asks others: "What does your blank canvas look like? What change are you going to make for the next generation to make the world a better place? Know that the world needs you!" If you want to rewatch her speech, or hear Michele Kang talk about investing another $25M (!!!) into the future of women's soccer, or catch the soccer for good panel, you can rewatch the entire summit here: (password: 25summit)

2. Date to save:
April 21. That's both the deadline to nominate an incredible woman you know who's making an impact for SBJ's Game Changers (disclosure - SBJ is a client of MNM Strategy**), apply here, and that's also the date of the upcoming Laureus Sport for Good NYC Spring Town Hall (at Nike NYC HQ no less!):
Additional date to save for ladies in Washington D.C. - May 14. We'll be doing our Spring WISSC happy hour downtown, followed by supporting DC's Tickets for Kids annual event that evening to help provide youth equitable access to sports experiences. Stay tuned for an email with discount code and details, coming soon!

3. Woman of Wisdom:
Meet our latest WISSC 'Woman of Wisdom' using the power of sports to drive social change, the fabulous Katrina Owens.
Meet Katrina:
Katrina serves as the Executive Director for DC SCORES, a phenomenal organization full of poet-athletes driving meaningful change through soccer. Katrina was just recently honored by DC United at their Women's Empowerment Night. Read more about her, her team and her work here.
Katrina's Insights:
"I believe that sport has the power to bring people together and form authentic relationships across historical divides that allow us to create something new or solve challenges in new ways together. Through my human rights work, as an educator, and at DC SCORES I have seen firsthand the power of sport and the arts to bring people together in new and innovative ways. As a community of women we are powerful. Use your voice and find other women who will stand together to amplify our work."
Katrina's Call to Action:
It's our 30th anniversary year - help us celebrate! Join us for 'Our Words Our City' on May 20th and more events:
