Women in Sports for Social Change - issue 27

W.I.S.S.C. Monthly Minute

3 things this month for Women in Sports for Social Change

Hi ladies,

Happy International Women’s Month, and a belated Happy International Women’s Day, where several witty women on social media acknowledged that we on-brand received only 23 hours given Daylight Savings Time happening over the weekend. Classic. Although I will give it to the PWHL for leveraging that fact for their clever 23 Hour Play campaign.

Included in this month’s issue is a long list of upcoming events, panels, online sessions, fundraisers and more, as well as some great jobs, all with salary ranges listed (because, remember, pay transparency helps close the pay equity gap for women, who still only make $0.83 for every $1 a man makes).

Here’s to springing forward and to Barbie’s Dream Team including women in sports driving change, things we love to see.

Thanks,
Mandy

This month's 3 things:

1. Best thing I'm excited for:

March = Madness. My favorite time of the sports year. Selection Sunday is this upcoming weekend, and for the 2026 NCAA WOMEN's Basketball Tournament, you can join The Sports Bra's BRAcket group to start filling out your winning BRAcket with fellow basketball fans, and Psst—DC-area women, stay tuned for more details about how you can watch the tournament with me at The Sports Bra’s pop-up coming to Hotel Zena (where we had HH in January)!

3. JOBS:

BSE Director of Community Relations - work with the fabulous Heather Hall in Brooklyn! ($100-125K base, NYC)
CAA Community & Impact Executive ($109-173K base, LA)

Always Dream (Kristi Yamaguchi’s Foundation) Director of Philanthropy ($150- 162K, Danville, CA)

LPF Executive Director ($175-185K, DC or a city with an active LPF program)
USTA Foundation Program & Services Coordinator ($50-55K, CA)

Thanks for reading and being a part of this community.
